Share Some Secrets

Share Some Secrets, is a book that encourages children to think about the secrets they should and shouldn't keep, encouraging them to speak out without fear, by giving praise. A great way of highlighting the difference between good and bad secrets. This is a topic, I feel very passionate about. After conducting research and looking into the market, there are no books for Children aged 4-7, that subtly addresses the issue of possible abuse. I believe that there should be a 'Share Some Secrets' book in every child/school/home setting, for children to read freely and read-along with the audio. The story isn't graphic in words or pictures, and will be very helpful for parents, carers and teachers alike. There are no words or suggestions that a parent doesn't already use when speaking to their own young children. The story is available to download via www.sharesomesecrets.com

Felicity Fly Meets Veronica Vac

This is the second in a series of 6 books, based on childhood fears. This next book introduces new character Veronica Vac, which is quite an adventure. The book introduces the word 'Nocturnal' and is also about individuals, caring and helping one another. There is a CD narration of the story, where the characters are all given different accents. This helps children to understand more about different pronunciation of words. The idea for these books, is to encourage parents reading with children form a young age, to introduce words and make reading fun.

Welcome to the World of Felicity Fly

Felicity Fly is a children's book based on childhood fears, for ages 4-6. The book introduces characters, Felicity Fly, William Washing Machine, Simon Spider, Willamena Woodlouse, Moey Mouse and Sissy Silverfish. These are all creatures and appliances you will find around the home. The book talks about fears they may have, the dark, loud noises from domestic appliances, spiders and creatures around the home. All stories for Felicity Felicity Fly rhyme. There will be 6 altogether in the series. The book also comes with a CD recording of the story, which also introduces different accents for the children, which helps them understand that people do have differences in speech and not just in a appearance. The book is aimed at trying to make children feel that they are not alone when they fear something , that it is ok and acceptable to have fear and that we all have different ways of dealing with this.
